Deirdre, Rebecca and all the Johnson family

It is very difficult to express in words the service that Liz provides.

It was the weekend and we needed help desperately to support our beautiful amazing goofy unbelievably affectionate Pipster to the happy hunting ground. The thoughts of taking him to a strange vet surgery (ours closed for the weekend) where he was terrified to go at the best of times was unbearable. My daughter contacted Liz, who said she would be with us the next day.  We had a last evening and morning with our special guy, he had duck, cheese, chocolate and croissants without having to embark on a thieving mission. And so many Huggies.

Liz arrived. Pip raised his head from the couch which he had claimed as his bed to greet her, and she administered a sedative, we had tea while it took effect. All of us were there holding some part of him, a paw, an ear, stroking him telling him just how amazing he was and how much we loved him and that we would see him later. The love in the room was palpable as Pipster opened his eyes when Liz administered the two final injections. He was extremely peaceful as he left.

Liz took Pip with her for a private pet cremation.  It was a gentle goodbye, with dignity.

Losing our boy was traumatic, but It was made ten times easier by Liz who talked us through each stage of what she was doing and what was happening.  She gave us strength, confidence while also giving us a lot of space and privacy.

We travelled to pick up his ashes two weeks later and received a beautiful print mould of his beloved paw.

To us he was so much more than a dog.  He was, to each of us, a best friend, a confidant, a barker, a tunneller, a protector, a swimmer, a snow jumper, a cuddler, very heavy,  a fly catcher, a fellow conspirator, a joker, a sandwich steeler, a chip eater, a dancer, a singer, an athlete, a messer, a counsellor, the list is endless, but more than anything he was a reservoir of love we drank from. Liz allowed us to return a small sip of that love to him for his last moments, a gift we will never forget. Thank you.
